; 강의에서 나온 표현을 가지고 직접 문장 만들기

■ arrive safely

ex) We arrived at London Heathow airport safely.
     우리는 런던 히드로 공항에 무사히 도착했다.


■ drive a car

ex) Could you driver a car?
     운전할 줄 아세요?


■ pull over the car

ex) Pll over (the car) and get out.
     길가에 차 세우고 내리세요.


■ step on the gas
; 서두르다란 뜻도 있음(=step on it)

ex) I'm in a hurry. Step on the gas.
     급해요. 빨리 가주세요(속력을 내주세요).

Come on, step on it, we don't have much time.
자, 서두르세요. 시간이 얼마 없어요.

* step : 밟다


■ stop by the gas station

ex) We are runnig out of gas. We have to stop by the gas station.
     기름이 다 떨어져가고 있어. 주유소에 들러야해.

* stop by = drop by, come by, swing by(~에 잠깐 들르다)


■ eat Chinese food

ex) I ate Chinese food for lunch.
     점심으로 중국 음식을 먹었다.


■ drink Coke

ex) Don't drink too much coke.
     콜라 너무 많이 마시지 마.


■ have a bite

ex) Snow White had a bite of a poisoned apple and fell down.
     백설공주는 독이 든 사과를 한 입 먹고 쓰러졌다.


■ order drive-thru

ex) Let's order McDonald's Drive-Thru.
     맥도날드 드라이브 스루에서 주문하자.


■ try streed food

ex) If you go to Chinese, try streed food.
     중국에 가면 길거리 음식에 도전해 봐.


■ add salt

ex) It's a little bland. I should add a little more salt.
     조금 싱겁군요. 저는 소금을 조금 더 넣어야겠어요.


■ bake bread

ex) I always smell bread baking when I pass by the bakery in the morning.
     아침에 그 빵집을 지날 때면 언제난 빵 굽는 냄새가 난다.

* smell + 목적어 + ~ing : 목적어가 ~ing하는 냄새를 맡다(냄새가 나다)


■ break an egg

ex) Break an egg and separating the white and yolk.
     달걀을 깨서 흰자와 노른자를 분리해 주세요.


■ cook dinner

ex) I'll cook donner for you.
     내가 저녁 해줄게.


■ wash vegetables

ex) Can you wash vegetables and cut them?
     야채들 좀 씻어서 잘라 줄래?


■ go to the movies

ex) How about going to the movies tonight?
     오늘 저녁에 영화관에(영화보러) 갈래?

* the가 붙어서 영화관이 됨.
the가 없으면 그냥 영화들.


■ play soccer

ex) He plays soccer every Sunday morning.
     그는 일요일 아침마다 축구를 한다.


■ ride a bicycle(bike)

ex) How about riding a bicycle instead of jogging in the morning?
     아침에 조깅 대신 자전거를 타는 건 어때?


■ see a musical

ex) I'd like to see a Broadway musical in New York.
     뉴욕에서 브로드웨이 뮤지컬을 보고 싶어.

* see는 가서 구경하다라는 의미, 만약 집에서 tv로 보는 거라면 watch를 씀.


■ walk the dog

ex) I found a good place to walk dog.
     개를 산책시키기에 좋은 곳을 찾아냈어.
